Livery The remainder of the yard is dedicated to the care of thoroughbred horses only.  The location of the stables is ideal for owners and trainers from all over Ireland, the UK and France that have horses running in Kildare.  We are located just one mile from Punchestown Racecourse, two miles from Naas racecourse and 10 miles from The Curragh racecourse and Gallops. 
Livery
Our close proximity to Goffs Sales in Kill makes us an ideal location for pre-Sales accommodation.In addition, our stable vet and farrier are experts in the care of thoroughbred racehorses and work for some of the best studs in the country.

Services include:Full livery – feed, hay, bedding, muck-out every day and exercise on walker only if requested.Half livery – feed, hay, bedding, muck-out every day owners/trainers of horses organise exercise of the horses.

Grass livery – horses turned out on grass – over 30 acres of grass paddocks on site with piped fresh water

All livery rates are negotiable depending on duration of stay.

Breaking livery, Pre-training and Sales Preparation

Under the expertise of renowned Kildare horseman, Eddie Butler, you may have your young horse broken, pre-trained and/or prepared for the Sales.

Eddie is known throughout Europe and has a wealth of experience behind him in the racing business

Amenities

All-weather gallop: this testing 3-furlong sand-based gallop consists of a steep climb and is ideal for working horses on a daily basis. This gallop is available to hire to trainers/owners of racehorses both in livery and from outside the yard.

Gallop rates are negotiable depending on usage.

Walker: can accommodate 6 horses at any one time and is ideal for horses just broken or recovering from injury.

Poly-track ring: is ideal for braking horses, lunging horses and schooling horses over small jumps.

Grass Paddocks: available for horses post-exercise as a reward for their hard work, if required by owners/trainers.

Wash-bays: three wash bays available to horses following exercise. Hot water on tap in yard also.

Safety First
Helmets and back protectors MUST be worn at ALL times when on horseback. All new horses to yard must be accompanied by an up-to-date veterinary certificate BEFORE entry is permitted. 

All owners and/or trainers of horses for livery and use of gallop and/or amenities must read and sign in agreement to our Terms and Conditions before entry of their horse(s) is permitted.

Training A select number of horses are trained by Robbie Osborne for racing purposes at Craddoxtown House, including the stable star, King Jock. This brown gelding (2001 by Ghazi (USA) out of Glen Kate) has black type races including the Group 3 Desmond Stakes in Ireland, the Group 2 Primo Carlo Vittadini in Milan and the Abu Dhabi Double in the UAE.
